A number of new SPAR stores have opened in China recently, taking the brand to an ever-growing number of people across the country. From small convenience stores to large hypermarkets, the new SPAR stores are consistent in their excellent product offerings and service standards.

SPAR Henan has opened three new supermarkets – two convenience stores and one lifestyle market. Catering for a cross section of the population from rural communities to students on a university campus, all of the stores provide a friendly, welcoming environment with a great focus on fresh produce. The opening of these three stores within a short period of time has expanded visibility of the brand and builds on the intention of SPAR Henan to grow the brand in the province.

SPAR Guangdong opened two new stores in the space of one month. The first was opened on 26 January in Huizhou. The store is located on the second floor of a shopping mall and has a comprehensive hypermarket offering. It is the fourth SPAR store to open in the city of Huizhou, providing local shoppers with quality products at great value. The second new SPAR Guangdong store opened on 21 February in Dongguan. It is a well-designed, 170m2 lifestyle store, catering to the convenience needs of customers. Labelled as SPAR Guangdong’s most attractive supermarket, it has a clean and modern feel, offering a top-end shopping experience. The store has free Wi-Fi and a power charging station where customers can charge their mobile devices.

The sixth new SPAR store to launch in China was opened by SPAR Sichuan. The store, SPAR Peng’an, is SPAR Sichuan’s first large hypermarket at over 10,000m2. On the opening day, more than 20,000 shoppers visited the store. Local government officials and members of the SPAR China Management team were also present at the opening ceremony. A lot of positive feedback was received about the store’s design and layout and its large selection of products and quality service offerings.
