Driving Growth

Improving Operations

A focus on best practice in the food retail supply chain ensures that SPAR enjoys the advantages of a low cost efficient supply chain. The continuing implementation of international best practices is an important growth strategy for SPAR worldwide.

The economic crisis has placed an increasing importance on identifying and sharing international best practices. Through the early adoption of best practice and by benefiting from the knowledge and knowhow of SPAR partners, it is possible to roll-out new projects more quickly. It also makes it possible to avoid some of the costs associated with poorly executed projects.

The major forum for exchanging supply chain knowledge and experience within SPAR is the annual LOGIT Conference. Action Groups and the circulation of reports and newsletters also contribute to this exchange.

The SPAR Connect intranet site is playing an increasingly important role as a library and reference point for information.

To ensure we have the highest level of efficiency at the heart of offering real value to our customers, SPAR countries have invested in developing state-of-the-art Distribution Centers. SPAR members are constantly expanding and upgrading their warehouses to ensure they operate at maximum efficiency and lowest costs in the food retail supply chain.
